INSPO || WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES…but WE ARE NOT ONE

Hello Royalty.

I am here, typing away on my phone, thinking Do I make this a comeback post or do I give it another name? I have been away from the blog for so long, so much that I wake up each day, thinking “I have to get back to blogging ASAP”. Some of you are aware of my ongoing social media break (call it digital detox for non-digital retox in terms of productive work and life), and although I promised to post on the blog every other week after the break, I’m laughing at myself as much as you are. It’s definitely easier said than done.

Concenring today’s post, I know I could have chosen a better topic or a less explanatory one, but I chose not to. I wanted the topic to come to you as a straightforward sentence, such that even if you scrolled past the link to this post, you’d still get my message. We hear it all the time and whether we know it or not, it influences our thoughts in the subconscious. What is it we hear? “What you do is what defines you”. As much as this statement is true (to an extent – a huge extent), and as much as it applies to diverse situations, permit me to put it to you that what you do does not always define you (emphasis on always). Our lives are made up of actions and what not, and I am not here to argue that. However, when we take the wrong steps and do the wrong things; when we make mistakes, we do not exactly become mistakes. We do not become useless or saltless because of ten things we did wrong. We do not become worthless or cheap, especially when our worth is found in Christ.

Let’s have a popsicle.?

The mistakes you have made may be known to you alone and the person(s) who was affected by it, but as they say, You’d never get to the right place, no matter how long you walk the wrong path. Take a step today to forgive yourself, to forgive others and to live life anew. The past can be buried now.

I do not plan to say too much in this comeback post, but I only want to make it clear that your mistakes do not define you. It kept coming to me all week long and I know it’s a messsge for at least one person. Again, your mistakes do not define you.
