FAITH || 2017 IS (not) OVER.

Hello Royalty.

Happy Holidays!

I bet it’s pretty an up and about affair at your end. It’s crazy here in Lagos. It’s almost like people have moved out of their homes; the streets are filled every hour, and you bet the traffic is even worse, but let’s save that for later.

Today’s post is inspired by what I heard at church yesterday. I know it’s the 18th today and there are only 13 days for the year to come to an end; and as humans, we have the habit of arriving at the end before the end. It’s not very helpful and if you observe, it’s very limiting. So you have said, “Gosh, 2017 is over. What else can happen? All the hopes and dreams are gone…I did not get that job. I didn’t get to do this. Nor did I get to do that.” PAUSE….. 2017 is NOT over. There are still 13 whole days left! Do you know what that means? That is a lot of hours still hanging on. That’s a miracle still about to happen. And that is a testimony still about to come through…if ony you would not arrive at the end of the year before the year actually ends.

So, do me a favour and have a chit-chat with your thoughts and your tongue. Tell them you are going to speak positively the remaining days of the year. Tell them you are not going to rush into 2018, blinded and unprepared, only to write down undetermined resolutions, so much that you miss all the final goodies of 2017; because darling, it is not over until it is over. My pastor said yesterday, “Whatever you believe to the end is what you will end with at the end”.

“Oh but Alex, you don’t understand. It’s a matter of time. It’s barely two weeks left.” You say.

Who created time? You? Or your Creator? You serve the One who was in existence before the existence of time, who is not limited to time and who created the entire earth in 6 days. If this was the time to create the earth, He’d do it twice and have an extra day off.

So hey, hold on to the end, and again, hold on to the very end.

This is a short post because my message is simple today and I won’t go round and round to make the point. But now you know, don’t give up on that expectation. 2017 is not over!

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping…he was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises. Romans 4:18,21
