FAITH || Did you know breast milk could be eye drops?

Hello Royalty.

You see that question above? As for me, the answer is  No, I didn’t – UNTIL last week when I discovered its truth and decided I was going to put up this post. I’m pretty sure someone is probably thinking, what is wrong with Alexandra today and why is breast milk connected to a post about our faith? Well I’m definitely going to answer all those questions,  but you have to calm down and read on.

So last week, I was in a conversation with a mother-friend of mine and she was telling me how much we trivialize the good things that God has given to us for free. She has a one-month-old baby (maybe more than a month old) whose eyes have been unusally red and continuously discharging rheum (that thing in the corner of your eye sometimes when you wake up) and she went to the hospital after a while. She was given some eye drop medication and what not to stop the discharge…but it did not stop. Somehow after praying and thinking of what to do, she got on the Internet to make some findings and she found out that breast milk would work. You bet she put it to test immediately and in less than two days, her baby’s eyes were super clear and fine like nothing ever happened. Did I hear a Thank you Jesus!

In all honesty,  I almost could not fathom it when she told me and I am still so awed by it, so I told myself, I have to blog about this, not just because of how amazing that story is but also because of what I thought about after listening to the story. I began to think about how much we unconsciously neglect all that natural loveliness that God has deposited in us and we go about looking for solutions where there’s none, thinking we are smarter. Most times, the solution is just right under our noses – for free! We are more powerful than we know and I hope you’d find strength and power in all that God has given to you. It’s time to embrace your true identity as a creation of the master. Do not let me catch you saying you are not good enough or saying I just have one talent. I don’t even know what to do with it.  OR I know A but I don’t know B. I doubt I’d ever be good at anything.  Stopeet! You are just enough! Remember last week’s post here? Yes, you are a masterpiece of the greatest artist and you can do bad all by yourself!

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.  Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

P.s: if you’re a breastfeeding mother and you’re reading this, your milk can also be sprayed in your baby’s blocked nostrils to make it moist and allow the mucus to flow out.

These life hacks won’t cost you nothing and they’d make your baby “chemical free”, natural and full of spice, the same way a life in Christ isn’t bought with money but will make you full of “sugar, spice and everything nice!”

I hope this post has helped your faith and also opened your eyes to a great life hack. Have a splendid week!
