Hello Royalty.

Welcome to a new week!

This past week was pretty awesome for me. I tried to update the blog’s home page and gallery. You can take a look by clicking here or here. I also successfully sent out my first set of newsletters. If you have subscribed to my blog at one point or another, it means you got my email and if you haven’t read it, please try to take some time to read it. At the same time, if you’re reading this and you haven’t subscribed to my blog, please do so by responding to that pop-up or  by scrolling all the way down, on your device, to the box called, “Subscribe to Blog via Email” so you can get my next newsletter! I got some replies to my last newsletter and I was so awed and amazed. You needed to have heard me telling my sister, “My blog readers are the best!” in that overpampered tone. Oh yes, one of my nephews clocked two last Friday and it was an amazing day. We went to eat at a nice restaurant, I had me some Rattlesnake Pasta but I’ll share more about my experience on Friday in our Travel/Lifestyle post. What did you do last week? (Comment section?)

Moving on, I am superrrr excited about today’s post. I believe it’s a lovely Holy Ghost inspired write up by one of my favorite writers and bloggers. Her name is Kiah. Her site is Kiah’s Script and she writes some of the most beautiful short stories I ever read, but she also shares extra amazing stuff in her newsletters. When I got this write up in my email, I sent her a message immediately. I needed her to know I was so blessed by it, especially this lineI haven’t lived very long but the longer I live, the farther I travel, the more I find that there is no sure thing, no peace in anything or anyone else but this man Jesus.” and she encouraged me to share it with my friends, so I went on to ask her for permission to share it on my blog. Her reply? Your guess is as good as mine.

Here you go:

This is Kiah

Soldiers of Love

Yesterday my friend asked a question. We had been joking around prior. Me teasing about how I need better friends who gave me luxurious cruises to the Bahamas as birthday gifts. She telling me to suck it up.

I am not sure when the conversation took a serious tone.

“How do you always stay so optimistic Kiah? Despite everything?”
I didn’t even blink an eyelid.
“Jesus.”
“Wow,” She replied. “That is the shortest answer you have ever given me.”

She doesn’t know that is because after Jesus, there is nothing left to say. He is the end of the discussion. The Omega.

This past month, it has been one thing after another. An executive in my office lost his house to the floods in Houston. When I asked him about it, there was a sadness in his eyes that I have never seen in his usual smiling face. To most of us, Houston is the news. To him and thousands of others, this is the real world. Then there is the Caribbean, my beloved Cuba, Mexico, North Korea, California and its fires, Florida, another school shooting, Nigeria and its tribal battles, the list seems almost endless.

Truly all is not well with the world. The bible tells us that,
“creation groans in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God.” The groans are getting louder by the day yet the sons of God remain hidden.

Not yesterday though. Yesterday I revealed my sonship to my friend and told her about Jesus. A man she has heard of but doesn’t really know. I told her how He walks on floods and calms storms. How He calmed the storms that once plagued my life. How He only can give her peace.

I haven’t lived very long but the longer I live, the farther I travel, the more I find that there is no sure thing, no peace in anything or anyone else but this man Jesus.

If you read my letters often, you probably knew this already about me- That I love God and a lot of my work is inspired from the poetry of the Bible. What you probably didn’t know is that I am a son of God. Yes I am female but I am a son. A King. A Priest. A Son.

Creation has waited long enough for us. Creation has tarried and cried out our names, calling for us to stand up and be counted, to stand up and use the weapon given to us. For too long, we have ignored it.

You are probably wondering what makes one a Son of God. Easy.

“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.”

There is no purpose, no calling, no ministry, no impact outside love. I don’t care if you have a million people following you on Instagram. You are nothing outside love.

Sade sings about soldiers of love.

I’m at the borderline of my faith,
I’m at the hinterland of my devotion
In the front line of this battle of mine
But I’m still alive
I’m a soldier of love…

These are the sons of God- the soldiers of love. Love more.

With Overflowing Love,

Alexandra Zion.
