How To Tell If Your Plans Will Work in 2017

Eyy! No doomsday prophecies here…just a little test on the possibility of your plan and my plan in this year.

Yes, I know I am talking about the new year again but then it’s just the first week and it’s best to avoid that ‘What loss I had this year’ chatter at the end of the year, which comes to be usually because there was no working plan at the beginning of the year. So please don’t get tired, this is us laying a good foundation for a good year.

It is Wednesday and it’s #museday according to our blogging calendar. Today’s muse is pretty short but powerful. I would be extracting the major tip I got from my John Maxwell newsletter. I read it this morning and it was so striking. I thought to myself, I can’t even let this pass; I’ve got to share it! And now, I’m doing exactly that.

Maxwell said,

Hello my friend,

They say it takes blood, sweat, and tears to make an incredible dream a reality. At this point you may have already experienced all three as you got back into your gym routine!

Blood, sweat and tears may be the secret to big time gains in a person’s life, but here’s what I know, growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow is going to get better. And you have to be willing to do what it takes to get there.”

Did you read that?

Growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow is going to get better!

2017 is filled with a lot of tomorrows and if you don’t start growing, the plain truth is, nothing, I repeat, nothing will get better. It’s easy to write our plans, It’s far easier to talk about them, oh my, it’s easiest to daydream them and think on them, but if we are not working on them, the plans will remain as daydreams, thoughts, talks, mere confessions and mediocre letters in coloured ink on a sheet of tired paper…or on your e-notes. Do you want that to happen? Of course not! And do you know? It’s even ‘most easiest’ (permit me to bend the rules of grammar) to age without growing. Please do not just mark birthdays and other important days this year, but grow through every day and night of the year.

That’s why I’m here to muse you up so you don’t think that the year is still long…it’s actually shorter than we think.

What do I do? You may ask.

Three words: Get to work!

But I plead with you on one thing, do not rush into working without being sure of your working strategy. Take a class or course to help you get to work if you need to. Go to someone in your field who has done what you’re trying to do (please drop shyness or pride on the floor – who e epp?*). Don’t burn your energy in futility. Seek help. Delegate tasks to others (friends, family, brands) if you must. And constantly stop to examine yourself. When you’re missing it, retrace your steps and fix it all up. When you’re on the right track, just keep on keeping on.

Remember, growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow is going to be better. I hope this muse stays in your heart all through this year. I want to see you grow, and yes your great plans will work if you work.

Again, May we all fly in 2017.

Goodbye Royalty,

With Overflowing Love,

Alexandra Zion.
